      No Longer a Good Place to Work

      Pros

      - Very competitive salaries - Bonus Incentive Plan - high company multipliers

      Cons

      - The company is getting really political - The shift to IP networking business is not going well - Lack of executive leadership, strategy, vision, and planning - Benefits have been drastically reduced (personal time off), and my guess is that bonuses will decrease moving forward - Company hires a lot of new university graduates, many of whom just do program/project management, keep spreadsheets, track checklists, and set up meetings with little understanding of the business either financially or technically - There is an old boys club here

      Generous and consistent bonuses Relentless drive toward an ever expanding line of new products Great group of people

      Cons

      I no longer get a sense that the leadership of this company knows with conviction where Brocade is going. There is some obvious damage control cheer leading going on now in response to last year's failure to successfully court HP. A recently trimmed benefits package came several months after Forbes compiled their "Best Companies to Work For" survey. Lack of opportunity to advance or transition

      Good base pay, better than most SV IT companies Generous bonus, much better than most SV IT companies Fair benefits Convenient location and surrounding area Above average facilities Nice

      Cons

      Slow learning curve: a newbie will take a long time to get him/herself familiar with the stuff inside and out; No fast path for promotion; Some request to facility/support team get prompt responses but take long time to get resolved
