Great place to start a career in Recruitment

Pros

Well known company and a great training programme both as an inductee and on-going. The 4 years I spent at Brook Street gave me a great foundation to develop my career in internal recruitment.

Cons

Too much focus on numbers and KPI's, very low base salary for the industry, confusing and frequently changing bonus and compensation scheme, no parking provided for the majority of consultants throughout the business. Can be very cliquey, colleagues being promoted based on how well liked they are rather than talent or hard work.

A highly professional workforce who treat everyone with respect and create a pleasant working environment. Hard work is rewarded, and the values of the company really shine through in all the charity work and staff events that go on throughout the year. Management are thoughtful and considerate, and there's a real focus on praising and rewarding successes.

Friendly colleagues. Playground atmosphere! Established 70 years so don't have to explain who you are when talking to most clients

Cons

Prob the worst mistake of my career - only interested in putting bums on seats No training by management No flexibility. Dinosaur thinking. Bonus is a fairy tale Crazy low basic Long hours - no flexibility working hours - no way of working from home out of hours to close deals
