Pros

Brooksource has an incredibly positive and encouraging company culture. This is not a typical staffing company. Brooksource takes the time to train employees well and gives them ample time to ramp up productivity in order to succeed in the long term. The company has had incredible year to year growth and this has presented many amazing opportunities to advance careers because Brooksource only hires from within. Not the best compensation in the industry, but solid. The revamped health benefits for 2016 are a huge improvement. Smart and capable upper management that is very fun to be around. Incredibly happy to have started my career here.

Cons

Even though Brooksource is a great company, it is still within the staffing industry which can be monumentally frustrating. In order to succeed, you have to be OK with doing the same thing everyday and failing often. In several offices there is a very fratty vibe which can be off-putting.

Pros

Prior to getting this job, I was very skeptical that the company could live up to the high expectations which I had acquired from my experience with them initially and online reviews. I am glad to say that brooksource has not only met my expectations but exceeded them for the following reasons: 1)The culture is exactly what they proclaimed on their website. They specifically hire people who are willing to buy into the mantra "relationships are at the center of everything we do". Each person who I've encountered so far (from the CEO to my fellow recruiters) have gone out of their way to make me feel welcome and to truly feel a part of the company. They then go out and extend that same paradigm to all of our clients, contractors and candidates. 2) Work Life balance: For me personally, I was a tad concerned of the industry's reputation for high turnover and long hours but quickly found out that brooksource is surely the exception. We work from 8am-5pm with a lunch break. It is a rare day that we are unable to complete our goals for the day and leave later than 5:45. 3) Compensation: Very fair compared with average and great opportunity to advance quickly. 4) Personal development: For me personally, this was a huge factor as it is not found at every company. Within a few weeks of my arrival, we went on an office trip where we discussed each member of the teams's goals; both personal and professional. By doing this we're able to be in tune with one another and help get each other where we want to go.

Cons

The staffing industry in general isn't ideal. A lot of uncertainty and unpredictability when it comes to getting candidates employed. A lot of things out of your control but nothing as of yet brooksource specific.

Pros

Fast track to make large, no-cap commissions at an early age. Leadership opportunities are readily available to start new divisions, new markets, etc. Awesome co workers who make every day fun and exciting

Cons

This job is not for someone who wants to blend in and simply carry a work load from 9-5 and collect a salary. There is a lot of pressure to perform well. The business pushes out the weak but rewards the persistent.
