Pros

When people ask why I love where I work, the answer is simple. The people. Brooksource is an IT staffing company, but it is so much more than that. It is a company that pours into its people to foster independence, growth, and success. Between our unparalleled culture and our limitless growth potential, Brooksource is a company I am proud to be a part of. I have found not just a job, but a career; not just co-workers, but a family. When I first came to Brooksource, I had just graduated with my Master's degree, and realized it was not what i wanted in a career. So when I started to interview for jobs, I realized Brooksource stood out unlike the others. One of the defining differences was the training model. Brooksource provides tailored training to all new employees their first week on the job, and continued education in the field. The resources we are provided with allows us to reach out to anyone in the company for advice, support, and mentoring. I have now gone through three corporate training events that have provided me with the knowledge and skills necessary to be successful in the field. From the one on one role plays, to presentations from the top Account Executive reps and recruiters, upper management, and directors, Brooksource ensures a seamless knowledge transfer and continued education and growth.

Cons

The staffing industry is a competitive work field, which can present obstacles at times. It takes hard work and dedicated effort, but it pays off in the end.

Pros

There are many positives about working for Brooksource. The first to mention is our incredible culture. Here at Brooksource, we foster a culture of friendship and family that transcends throughout the organization. The second is the ability to make a good living at a very young age. Those who embrace the "work hard, play hard" mentality that we look for will see their hard work pay off not only in their paychecks, but in the opportunities that are presented to them. Lastly, we promote 100% from within. Everyone in the organization started in the same position- as a recruiter. We don't promote based on tenure; we promote based performance. If you're a go-getter, odds are likely that you will be in a leadership role by your mid-20's.

Cons

The staffing business has its ups and downs. If you fail to keep the big picture in mind, you might struggle through the roller-coaster that is IT staffing.

Pros

Brooksource is an amazing company to work for. Their drive and commitment to growing each individual to the best of their ability is one of the biggest reasons I love this company. Many companies advertise the "Work Hard, Play Hard" culture, but I've never seen a better example than Brooksource- while the workdays can last upwards of 8-10 hours (which sounds awful but I promise it's not that bad haha) the office/company-sponsored events more than make up for it. Add that on top of the ability to work with very like-minded individuals in your age range, promoting solely from within (so how hard you work is directly related to your success) and you have a recipe for amazing development- both professionally and personally. My first job coming out of school was awful- bad industry, terrible coworkers, no one committed to a goal and only looking out for themselves... to say that Brooksource's change of pace was refreshing would be an understatement.

Cons

The only con I'd mention about Brooksource is that it takes a grind. I don't mean that you hate coming into work every day, but it can take a lot of hard work, for a substantial amount of time, before you see results. At the end of the day, it's a sales and recruiting job, and that success takes time to mature, so anyone seeking instant gratification and not willing to put in slightly longer-than-usual days might be looking in the wrong place. Make no mistake, however- if you follow the process, trust the system, and give it some time, there is no way you won't be successful here.
