Pressure to hang out/drink with employees and clients most week days

Very low, non competitive salary to start. Ability to make commission is based on the accounts you receive and willingness of the account manager. Next to no benefits, expected to work in the office for a job that easily can be done remotely, and management expects you to work outside of normal working hours. It was frustrating to know how little we were being paid compared to other agencies, all the while execs and management are throwing exclusive events, “promotion parties” and other frivolous spending that could be used to pay the employees a more livable base. You will learn early on management has favorites in the office and if you aren’t one, it’s difficult to gain promotions or even good opportunities to work on. Turnover is high in this industry, but seems particularly higher at Brooksource.
