Pros

You make friends at work and have the ability to make good money (which you can also do at competing firms).

Cons

Extremely poor management, the idea of only promoting from within is not the best model when your company is filled with people just out of college who have zero experience. People are promoted too quickly into management positions without the proper support or even having to prove themselves. Training is very limited, so you better learn on your own or you will not last past a few months. There is no real professional development path, and they pride themselves on the fact that you can become an office manager within just a year or two out of college and which is pretty comical if you think clients actually respect 24 year old "managers." Brooksource does not invest in employees and is 100% a turn and burn culture, following the model of mass hiring and hoping a few people work out. What is worse is that the company blatantly lies about the extremely high turnover to prospective employees. If you are a young professional looking for guidance, strong leaders, continued training and professional development...don't be fooled into believing the "Brooksource culture" and I highly advice you to look elsewhere.

Pros

Opportunity for advancement, good job for a year or two out of college, and can be really fun depending on the office

Cons

Management sucks-depending on office location--CEO is a frat boy who never grew up. Only so much commission to go around

Pros

Prior to getting this job, I was very skeptical that the company could live up to the high expectations which I had acquired from my experience with them initially and online reviews. I am glad to say that brooksource has not only met my expectations but exceeded them for the following reasons: 1)The culture is exactly what they proclaimed on their website. They specifically hire people who are willing to buy into the mantra "relationships are at the center of everything we do". Each person who I've encountered so far (from the CEO to my fellow recruiters) have gone out of their way to make me feel welcome and to truly feel a part of the company. They then go out and extend that same paradigm to all of our clients, contractors and candidates. 2) Work Life balance: For me personally, I was a tad concerned of the industry's reputation for high turnover and long hours but quickly found out that brooksource is surely the exception. We work from 8am-5pm with a lunch break. It is a rare day that we are unable to complete our goals for the day and leave later than 5:45. 3) Compensation: Very fair compared with average and great opportunity to advance quickly. 4) Personal development: For me personally, this was a huge factor as it is not found at every company. Within a few weeks of my arrival, we went on an office trip where we discussed each member of the teams's goals; both personal and professional. By doing this we're able to be in tune with one another and help get each other where we want to go.

Cons

The staffing industry in general isn't ideal. A lot of uncertainty and unpredictability when it comes to getting candidates employed. A lot of things out of your control but nothing as of yet brooksource specific.
