Pros

They will definitely bring bagels and pizza to compensate for what they pay. Their motto is, Eat more pay less.

Cons

They will never stick to their contractual agreement. They will nickel and dime and you. You will have to seek unemployment unless you're reading this and you have more eggs in the basket. Communication is horrendous. Run!!!!!

Pros

Brooksource has an unbeatable company culture. I couldn't be happier with the people I work with--company-wide, not just office-wide. It is a very collaborative environment and there is always someone there willing to help and mentor new employees. You will get as much out of Brooksource as you put into it. If money is your motivator, you have uncapped commission. Brooksource also sets their employees up to succeed. We have a strong training program that gets better and better with each class. They also let you create your own path within the company! I couldn't be more satisfied with my first job out of college. We are a smaller IT staffing firm and therefore I think it's easier for us to retain our employees due to lots of interaction with all levels of staff, including the most senior/upper management and first year recruiters. Brooksource wants longevity in their employees time here. We are very goal-oriented as well.

Cons

Contrary to what some may think, the IT staffing industry is not an "easy job out of college." It is competitive and can absolutely get frustrating at times when things don't go your way. It's the nature of the business--some things you just can't control. If you aren't competitive and don't have the drive to work hard and succeed, it is not the industry for you. However, if you are, like I said before, the sky is the limit when it comes to compensation and getting rewarded for hard work! You can manage an entire office by the time you are 25 years old if you really want that. Just have to be driven to succeed and hit goals you set for yourself.

Fun until the numbers come in.

Pros

Work-life balance is great, the hours are very standard. Fun environment for the most part, extremely young and upbeat.

Cons

The company, top to bottom is all fun and games until the numbers come in and don't meet the projections (usually based on unrealistic growth expectations), at which point everything including the blame runs downhill. The slow days are SLOW. There is no way to circumvent the recruiting aspect of the job if you're looking to enter a sales position. Poor compensation.
