Pros

I've been working at Broward Health HR for the Past 10 years. So far I've had 7 changes in management. Several managers laid off with no explanations. Seems like it's an ongoing thing within the system. There is a constant change in leadership and continues pay issue. Broward Health continues to abuse the write to terminate policy. They will fire or make up reason to fire someone with 3 months without thought or concern. CEO/CFO/COO operate in a rock star status. They are unapproachable and forget trying to voice issues to them because you will never hear back.

Cons

Upper management needs to be more engaged with employee related issues, instead of o ly being present during photo opportunities. Respond to messages.

Pros

It looks good on your resume and for Trauma experience. It also makes you mentally tough and realize what you DON’T want out of an employer. And on the rare occasion you’ll meet a few good people and have a good day.

Cons

You do your job and everyone else’s around you. You chase doctors around by phones all day for orders and can never get what you need until they round on your floor, randomly and unannounced. If you miss them, good luck. If a patient sudden goes critical, good luck. You’re basically on your own. Management blames everything on the nurses. Things rarely go smoothly. There is almost zero communication between anyone, including doctors to nurses and they just expect you to know without utilizing EMR. They use a mix between paper and EMR charts. Everyone has a bad attitude and there is so much unnecessary tension and animosity between nurses. Not a safe place for their patients or your nursing license. No one is happy. Staffing ratios suck. It’s a physician prioritized organization and they only care about the doctors.

Pros

Benefits and nothing else Benefits and nothing else Benefits and nothing else Benefits and nothing else

Cons

IT Department is Very Corrupt. They post positions, but they have already picked up who will fill the position without even giving the chance for other internal candidates to be interviewed. If you are not close to the managers and reporting what others say and do, then you are not good employee.. I wish the hospital was privately owned, None of those IT corrupt managers would have stayed in their positions. They contract with outside Vendors for non functioning equipment..easy to figure out why.. The IT should be outsourced and uproot the corruption
