Some genuinely nice people to work alongside.

Cons

A lot of turf protection. Not everyone plays together well in the sandbox. The company promotes this kind caring culture that really doesn’t exist. Leadership is not engaged with the workers. It is expected that you will work constantly on nights and weekends if you are salaried.

The best parts about working for Builders FirstSource were the hours and the benefits. Schedules were extremely flexible (I’m talking like REALLY flexible), you got plenty of time off + holiday pay and the benefits covered just about everything under the sun.

Cons

The worst parts about working for Builders FirstSource were the work ethics and attitudes of some of the people you end up working with.

Cons

This is a very physical job and you work long hours so obviously it’s going to be tiring.
