      Well, the paychecks have not bounced.

      Cons

      BFS has destroyed the ProBuild brand and employee morale in the areas already converted, most people are desparatley seeking other jobs. Absolutely backwards company, wearing blinders for the past 2 decades. No interest in moving into two 21st century. They honestly do not know any better. They believe their way is the only way, no interest at all in embracing any of ProBuilds policies or procedures, as the bigger, more successful company; therefore, the overall acquisition of ProBuild is set for failure.

      Pros

      Company does offer sick/personal time off.

      Cons

      Builders First Source has been cutting Probuild employee benefits (reduction in holidays, 401k match, vacation accrual) since it's acquisition which is driving employee talent away. They don't like to invest in new equipment neither.

      Decent pay and benefits, promotions can happen quickly if you are in the "in crowd".

      Cons

      General Mgr. at the branch I worked at had zero experience at managing an entire store. The almighty dollar is king within this company. You are treated like number. If you do not come out of the gate producing like seasoned veterans you immediately become a burden no matter the reason (death in family and personal illness are not excuses for not hitting the monthly quotas) The anonymous hotline to report inner-company issues is a joke, I was "let go" two days after filing a complaint via this "help line", simply told that since I worked in a "right to work state" they did not need to offer any reason for my termination.
