Pros

I worked with some very talented and smart people while here, but unfortunately those people do not last long at this company.

Cons

The drinking has gone down but it is still a huge focus at almost all company events. Drunk white men run this company and if you are not a drunk white man you will not fit in.

Pros

Casual dress Lots of TVs playing sports Great if you’re a man who loves golf

Cons

They won't tell you this when you are interviewing, but this is essentially a sales position with additional responsibilities. They love to make the bonus opportunities sound really laid back and easy to obtain, but that's not true. Your performance is entirely based on 4 metrics: average number of trainings per day, total number of outbound calls, upgrades, and getting clients to sign up for the online payment portal. Sales is either left intentionally ignorant about what the software can actually do, or they flat out lie and leave the training reps to deal with angry customers. You are told to "control what you can control" but then they'll take 50 accounts away from you without telling you and expect you to maintain the same numbers. You are often told it is a "privilege" to work there, and office lunches and free beer and soda is considered a perk. Maybe just pay people more. My understanding is no one will be receiving raises this year. Work from home option is slowly being taken away, and you will definitely not get promoted if you aren't in the office every day. Management has clearly drank the BT blue koolaid, and if you don't, you have a target on your back. Work culture is heavily centered around drinking, so if that's a problem for you, I would avoid this place.

Acknowledging your feedback is important to upholding Buildertrend’s commitment to transparent communication. The Customer Sales Coach (CSC) job description clearly defines the expectations for the role and outlines benchmarks and skills that we know are necessary for individual and team success. Compensation for this and all Buildertrend positions is commensurate with performance and eligible for competitive annual merit increases. Beyond role-based training, we empower our people with a variety of development opportunities and perks to help them achieve their personal and professional goals. Prioritizing time for our teams to connect and celebrate our wins also is a key component of our employee experience – from optional social hours, paid volunteer time off, and family-friendly outings to internal employee resource groups. Hi, thanks for sharing your thoughts about your time at Buildertrend! While we know we can’t exceed everyone’s expectations, we are continuously looking for ways to enhance the organization as a whole. Our employee perks and benefits are re-evaluated each year to ensure we are offering competitive plans. We recently rolled out 6 additional days per year of time off (in addition to Paid Time Off) in the form of Personal Days so that our employees can dedicate time outside of work for ‘life’ that happens. Thanks again for taking the time to leave this review, and all the best in your career!
