      Pros

      Burckhardt Compression is regarded as leading manufacturer of reciprocating compressors in the the world. Burckhardt is also original manufacturer of the unique Labyrinth compressor which is the single best solution in certain reciprocating compression applications. Burckhardt Compression has a well known reputation in the marketplace.

      Cons

      Burckhardt Compression is struggling to compete in the current global economy particularly in the United States with it's new expensive and underutilized facility. * No upward mobility * Little if any salary increases * High employee turnover * Few experienced long term mentors to train new hires

      Pros

      Vacation time was nice and some employees were great to work with. Didnt have someone constantly looking over my shoulder.

      Cons

      Pays you a great salary contract, but does not take out taxes so taxes are awful. They tell you 3mo contract, then keep extending it and once direct drops your pay because of benefits and lays you off, so you only get unemployment for 2 months. They are very unorganized when you close out a project you cant find anything.

      Pros

      They meet the marketplace average for salary, depending on position. The health benefits are were it's at. As of May 1, 2015, they are offering $0 deductible Medical with Cigna. The corporate location is in Winterthur, Switzerland and is rated one of the TOP 5 places to work in Europe.

      Cons

      The company is currently in the middle of restructuring and expanding to a new facility by the beginning of 2016. Some positions have had to be eliminated to make room for other positions.
