Pros

-Truly the most strategic and kind group of people I’ve worked with to date. -Want to emphasize again how exceptionally thoughtful and strategic this team is. -Business strategy and initiatives move quickly, creating lots of opportunities for cross-functional work. If you enjoy building, creating, and scaling systems and processes that don’t yet exist or need evolving, this is the place. -Distributed workforce: being largely remote is fantastic, with meaningful opportunities to connect in person throughout the year. -The culture and mission are genuinely inspiring and motivating. -There’s significant room for career growth and development if you’re in the right role and supported by the right leader.

Cons

-Bonus and equity transparency is virtually nonexistent, which creates distrust. -There’s still a lot of work needed to improve internal systems, platforms, and processes. Working with outdated or clunky systems can be frustrating. -IT support needs to be much better. Period. (i.e. more hands-on, modernized, etc.). There’s literally no ticketing system, and the requests made via email often go unanswered or unresolved. -Some leaders don’t consistently exemplify the company’s leadership behaviors, and it often takes far too long to address these gaps or manage them out. This is one of the biggest inhibitors to progress. -Some senior leaders spend too much time focused on granular, below-the-line details instead of strategic priorities, which can create bottlenecks and derail initiatives. There’s a need for stronger delegation and more executive-level focus.

Pros

Competitive compensation, though leveling and pay transparency remain a bit of a mystery. Advancement may feel more like optics management than growth planning. Flexible remote options—particularly at senior levels. For others, change seems to be in the air, with increasing signals of offshoring and cost-optimization efforts. If you're well-versed in business transformation lingo like “synergy” and “value creation,” you’ll fit right in. The pace and fluidity of strategy will teach you adaptability—whether you asked to learn it or not. There are many talented engineers and designers who genuinely care about the work and the mission, and who bring their best despite constant shifts in direction and limited context from above.

Cons

Product and strategy leadership often sets direction from a distance, with decisions handed down in ways that can feel disconnected from team reality. Execution teams are frequently left to fill in the gaps between quarterly vision resets and deck-driven priorities. Roadmaps tend to change without much notice, and feedback can feel welcome only when it supports the existing narrative. The company culture emphasizes transformation, but it's not always clear what success looks like on the ground. Accountability structures are inconsistent, and communication often feels top-heavy. Cross-functional alignment is more of a hope than a habit. Transparency and psychological safety are promoted, but not always practiced. Teams are resilient—but largely because they have to be. If you enjoy high-level strategy more than day-to-day clarity, this might be a fit. But if you’re looking for consistency, empowerment, or a user-centered product culture, you may find it challenging.

Pros

Good support doing Pre-joining formalities.

Cons

Toxic Reporting Manager No clarity about the job role Always discreetly contacting candidates via linkedin and offering job while no roles and responsibilities are clearly outlined and No culture of giving feedback or providing support to new joiners. Lack of courtesy or effort to understand the challenges faced by employees. Reporting manager unapproachable, with no communication or constructive feedback. Termination within a month of employment, with no prior warning or discussion about performance or challenges. Role involved managing 5 C-suite executives' calendars and travel, but with no clearly defined responsibilities. Additional tasks included non-executive duties such as refilling the office pantry and performing janitorial work (e.g., refilling washroom supplies). Disrupted work-life balance due to frequent, unexpected travel requirements (3-4 days per week instead of the initially stated 1-2 days per month).
