Pros

Great culture CEO is very invested and does regular presentations for the company's employees on where the business is going and how we're doing My coworkers and supervisors are fantastic - the best I've ever worked with We have a lot of fun at work - very engaging and collaborative Detail-oriented work, took a while to master; now that I'm good at it I feel accomplished and successful. I have satisfaction in my performance. Company is very supportive of my disability. HR has been supportive and helpful with FMLA and reasonable accommodation needs. Technology is good, no antiquated systems. Company embraces new ideas and new technology. SWAG system is great; being able to recognize peers and earn points to use in buying items. Understandably on hold for COVID. Tuition reimbursement (also understandably on hold for COVID)

Cons

I wish they gave raises. I've been here 3 years and have never gotten a raise. My salary is midrange for others listed on this site. When I asked a year ago about a raise, my supervisor said only people whose "Employee Pulse" (a self-reporting performance matrix) was "blue" get raises, i.e. the Rock Stars. IMO those who have been with the company and are dedicated, perform well, no attendance or performance issues, should get regular raises. If no raise, consider a title bump. "Senior" or "JobTitle II or III" -- something to make people feel value and that they have something to aim for. I feel like I'll never be a Rock Star, but I am a good worker who's always here and does a good job; I should get raises sometimes. I enjoy what I do and have no need or desire to go to a different job just to get a raise in pay. Dumb job titles. I feel like a dork putting my job title on my LinkedIn.

Pros

Not many companies have this type of growth or client retention. The new logos that have signed up to do business with Businessolver over the last few years is very impressive. Leadership is constantly innovating and creating new products and value. Very hard working culture with that mixes in the right amount of quirkiness (especially the Denver office). Honestly, some of the smartest and most dedicated employees that I have worked with in my career. The Founder/CEO has worked very hard to retain employees and avoid lay-offs during the COVID crises.

Cons

You will work and be pushed. It's a competitive and achievement focused culture with really high standards. The company is small enough that if you aren't pulling your weight, it will be noticed. For many, that is a "con"...choose the right culture that fits for you. BSC is growing fast...and any company with that kind of growth will have "growing pains". Benefits could be a bit better.

Pros

Workplace and health benefits (of course).

Cons

Lack of stability in leadership, unstructured and foggy/outright deceptive paths to promotion/career advancement, role/contract changes mid-employment, Cy Wakeman workplace culture programming. Brain drain of high profile talent.

I appreciate the feedback and your point of view. However I do disagree. Especially on the following points. Promotions and career advancement are earned...more so than any other company that I have worked for. This is very much a performance based culture that rewards achievement and results. Additionally, our leadership has been stable and shown low turnover...especially within our Sales, Technology & Strategic groups. We have had a number of additions to leadership...but that has been driven by high growth and the maturation of the company. We've rarely lost high profile talent, especially those performing at a high level. Lastly, it is a reflection of empathy and ownership for a CHRO to take the time to read and respond (let alone offer to have a live conversation) in regard to Glassdoor reviews. I have worked at more than one company where HR Leadership has sees those duties as beneath them, and I applaud our leadership shows it the importance that it deserves. Thank you.
