Pros

There's free food and drinks... I guess.

Cons

They sell you on this scheme that the job is great, you will be treated with respect, and have plenty of opportunity to advance. This isn't the case for participant service reps. You're expected to work longer hours and pretty much make Businessolver your life. They come up with petty excuses to NOT pay you your bonuses. And when you're drained, they belittle you with comments like "quit complaining", "it's more money", etc. (but when you make more money, you get more deducted as well, so it really looks like a regular paycheck). Management doesn't really answer your questions and usually direct you elsewhere to find the answer on your own. The engagement team rarely communicates with you after training, and always refer you to your supervisor who in turn refer you to someone else. They also preach this idea that they love to develop their employees in prepare them for career advancement... but this isn't the case for Participant Services. You're pretty much stuck, and unless you do a lot of kissing up, you're not going anywhere. They also state they like to promote from within, but hire people outside of the company before offering it to their current employees. I was told I was not the "right fit" for Client Services and other Client Facing roles. When I asked "why?", there literally was no response. They then proceeded to hire people from outside of the company that I guess "fit" the role properly for them. The pay isn't even that great. I've been told that this is the best I'll get, which is HILARIOUS because I've made more doing less work at other companies. With the poor management, poor ethics, and lack of career opportunities, it's time for me to move on. My efforts are definitely not appreciated here, and with my experience, I'm better off taking a path where I am appreciated and treated with respect. I won't find that here.

I'm sorry to hear that your experience with Businessolver has been different than other employees. I would like to connect if you are open to it. There are some misunderstandings in your comments that I can clarify for you. It looks like you have been with the company less than one year. Businessolver, like most companies, has a policy that an employee must be in their role for one year before applying for new opportunities. This is common in most industries and frankly you would not have been able to interview , or received any feedback along the lines of "not being a fit", given your tenure. Additionally, we do pay very well in regard to this role in comparison to the industry. Of course anyone who makes more money will have more deductions...that is not unique to our company. Lastly, I know we have paid out a significant amount in bonuses the last three months alone. Please feel free to call me at 720 332 5213. I believe I can help with each of these misconceptions. Thank you . Chris Brabec VP of Recruitment

Pros

Free food, somewhat optional overtime, bonuses (hard to acquire), colleagues, location.

Cons

Lack of communication, leads lacking knowledge of the healthcare industry, limited PTO, very little training, he said she said mindset, leads are very quick to throw someone under the bus to save their own butts, little to no time for personal life, no annual compensation increase, LICENSING REQUIREMENT- PS ARE NOT PERSONALLY SELLING INSURANCE TO ANYONE! NOR IS PS RECEIVING ANY SORT OF COMMISSION. THERE IS NO REASON PS SHOULD BE REQUIRED TO GET LICENSED. UNTIL *ALL* LEADS AND UPPER MANAGEMENT BECOME LICENSED THEMSELVES. THERES NO REASON PS SHOULD BE REQUIRED TO. Hypocritical, to say the least.

Thank you for your feedback. I would like to discuss your concerns in person as there seems to be a miscommunication. For example, the licensing requirement is to help you better serve our clients, invest in your knowledge and set a foundation to build upon from a career development standpoint. We believe this shows our commitment to our clients and to your learning and growth. Please contact me at mklipfel@businessolver.com at your earliest convenience.
