Pros

I was well compensated while at Bustle. My work schedule was flexible and it was fun to work at a "cool" company.

Cons

It was like "Mean Girls" but in the workplace. Leadership was very cliquey, which was alienating and isolating for everyone else. You can't move up unless you're one of the cool kids.

Pros

Occasional free food in the kitchen

Cons

No diversity CEO is a misogynist who only made this site to profit off white feminism Feminist ideals are mostly just for clicks Upper management does not understand journalism or content creation, often micromanages time of people who actually do know how to do their jobs Review process for content is long, arbitrary, and mostly so management can pretend they know what they're doing Upper management often use manipulation and toxic tactics to get people to work more hours than is required Pay is awful Lowest freelance rate I've ever seen
