Pros

As a software engineer at Butternut Box, I can confidently say that this is a great company to work for. In the past two years, the company has grown rapidly, but it still maintains a warm, welcoming environment that does not feel corporate somehow. One of the things that I appreciate most about Butternut Box is its no-blame culture. Mistakes are seen as opportunities to learn and improve, rather than as a reason to point fingers or assign blame. This creates a supportive atmosphere where employees are encouraged to take risks and try new things without fear of repercussions. In the engineering department, the managers are particularly good at listening to concerns and acting on them. They are approachable and responsive, and they work closely with their teams to make sure that everyone is happy and supported. Another great thing about working at Butternut Box is the remote policy. The company understands the importance of work-life balance and offers a flexible work-from-home policy that allows the engineering teams to work from home. That being said it's hard to resist going to the office because of all the office dogs there! Overall, I highly recommend Butternut Box as a great place to work. The company culture is inclusive, supportive, and forward-thinking, and the management team is committed to creating a positive and empowering work environment. If you're looking for a company that values its employees and offers plenty of opportunities for growth and development, then Butternut Box is the place for you.

Cons

High workload: Working at a fast-paced company like Butternut Box can sometimes mean taking on a lot of work, which can be challenging and stressful. Pressure to perform: With a lot of bright and talented people working at Butternut Box, there may be pressure to perform at a high level and meet expectations. Rapid changes: In a fast-paced environment, things can change quickly, and employees may need to be flexible and adapt to new situations frequently.

Pros

- Very good product - Dogs

Cons

Since the push for profitability started the company has completely abandoned the culture it *used* to nurture. Gone are the days of kindness, and togetherness, where knowing how people are doing on a personal level was viewed as vital. Instead, you get a toxic environment at the office. Extremely pushy senior management. Everyone is stressed. They have also started to warn people that if they don't go into the office they won't get promoted.
