Pros

Pros are only for a select few. If you do not fall into those catagories, then you are just a slave to them.

Cons

Unless you are one of the company elite, you are not included in any of the extra activities, client relations, etc.. They will ask for opinions, but yours will not be considered. You are below them. They will even pay a third party company to do studies about where they should go as a company. But when the answer comes back different than they thought, they will not follow the suggestions and go the direction that the executive council wants to go.... only to find out that the 3rd party is correct and the executive council was wrong yet again. The company is very "clickish" and favoritism runs ramped. You can be a designer with over 30 years of experiene and sought after by companies around the globe, but C&I will pick a 1st year graduate because A.) they are cheaper. B.) because they have a degree. C.) they can be munipulated easily. Management feels that "culture" is more important then compensation.

Not for me

Pros

Option to work from home with flex hours.

Cons

No training provided for this position. Additionally, the people put in charge of training me had zero desire to do so, and so I spent the majority of my 4 1/2 months counting down the hours. The manager lacks management skills and also possesses a lackluster, passive approach to managing people. The only camaraderie I experienced is when someone was complaining about their job or others. Incredibly toxic and hostile work environment.
