C2 Education reviews

Expect to work overtime every week. District managers and regional vp's are uneducated, unprofessional, old Asian women whose monthly/quarterly bonuses depend on center director's sales performance, and they have no work experience outside the Asian community. So often times, you are expected to work 6 days a week and stay after hrs to make more sales, unless you reached your unreasonably and unrealistically high monthly sales goal. These people have no life outside of work, so they willingly work 50+hrs/week and expect you to do the same. I have witnessed so much power struggle, gossip, drama, fights amongst the upper management. All they care about is money, not education. There's a reason this company has one of the highest turnover rates.

I worked at the C2 Education in Rockville, MD. It was horrible. When I arrived for my interview, they had to call in somebody to interview me. They claimed(even somebody from corporate) they didn't know what the minmum wage ws, even though it was required by law to post it on the wall(They had it posted on a wall.) When I inquired about it, my boss threatened to change my scheudle(I didn't even have one). I'm a disaster at Science. I told my boss this during my interview. She still forced me to teach science(Those classes were a disaster). They only give tutors 5 minutes to lesson plan for each student. One is not allowed to go early or leave late to do extra lesson planning. Imagine if parents found out. None of the tutors were able to meet the expectations of C2 because there was no time to meet them(We normally tutored 3 students at a time.) because we weren't given time to prepare. Come up with 1.5 hours of homework for each student and go over at least 5 subjects with each student? Ridiculous.
