Pros

Kids are great, don't have to deal with disgruntled parents (of which there are many!) unless you're a center director, hours are flexible and it's very easy to have a life if you want

Cons

It is all about the money for these people and they really only do the bare minimum to hide it. There are kids whose parents believe the fearmongering that center directors are expected to perform and they get stuck coming in for mostly unnecessary tutoring 2 hours a day, 4 days a week. We are expected to only use C2 workbooks (that the kids have to pay for) so class time is extremely formulaic.

Thank you for sharing your experience at C2. Its great to hear that you were able to acheive a work / life balance with the flexiblity to adjust your hours, as needed. And we agree that our students are incredibly driven and focused on their dreams. I understand that you were not satisfied with the curriculum and our approach to learning. Please know that we believe in our students and in their potential for greatness. Focusing on the core of quality education, we have a passion for learning, improving through knowledge, devotion to the student, and the vision that every student is different but can break past their limits with proper guidance and support. C2’s comprehensive tutoring system ensures that our teachers are able to provide tailored and interactive instruction while providing an environment in which no student is ever being given a cookie-cutter lecture. And it works. 85% of C2 students are accepted at a top 50 college! We are so proud of our students, teachers and Center staff for all they have acheived together.

Pros

none, none , and NONE

Cons

1) you won't be paid for extra work (ex: printing worksheets an homework) 2)how can you equally distribute the equal time among 3 students at same time 3) how do you teach different people at different levels 4) as a student, you would pay around $55/hr (which means about $110 per session). the tutor only get roughly $ 40 per session. C2 will make 3*$110-40= $290 If you include the 3 students per session. Think before you really teach at this company.

Pros

The actual programs are good and my center itself is supportive

Cons

They combined all of the centers into these multi-center things called GTAs. It means you are constantly traveling between centers, you have too many families, and there aren't enough hours in the day to do your job. I get Covid made problems and things had to change, but there is a mass exodus of employees right now and it's no surprise the best people are leaving. The worst part? When the announced this consolidation, they pretended that /we/ wanted it.
