My primary issue is with the 3:1 model. It does not help anyone but the people at the top who are making lots of money. They will intentionally group students in 3's even if there are plenty of tutors available so they have to pay fewer people. This often makes it difficult to get consistent hours as a tutor, and the hours you get are more stressful than they need to be. I also don't think it's right to charge parents $60-100 per hour when their child only gets 15-20 minutes of instruction out of it and the tutor gets paid less than $25.
