Pros

Good engagement with students, enjoyable work, the opportunity to share your enthusiasm for learning and subject material, and the ability to see your positive effect on the students' lives

Cons

Kind of iffy management structure with a lot of changes. I'm getting fewer hours now than when I started about five months ago, and still my exact hours for the coming days/weeks are not always certain. The curriculum for the New SAT is poorly edited. Management seems primarily focused on making sales.

Pros

C2 Education has its own curriculum and tutors are trained to use it effectively. The student to teacher ratio is typically 3:1, but may be up to 5:1. The schedules are somewhat flexible and you have the opportunity to work consistent hours if you tutor more than one subject. You will work with interesting, intelligent people and the students are typically academically motivated.

Cons

The students in each session are different ages and studying different subjects. Tutors must have enough flexibility to frequently change topics during a two hour session. Tutors must score at or above 95% on the Tutor Test (New SAT) to be hired. You will work evenings and weekends. You may tutor at more than one center.

Pros

Depending on the center, some times you get to work with some excellent people. If you have a good center director, it can be fun. Tutors do get paid fairly well.

Cons

Everyone is overworked. They try to stretch you as thin as they can and use you as much as they can. Training was very minimal. At the end of the day, C2 is a business, and it feels like the upper management people only care about profit and care very little about the students. I've seen tutors being asked to work 6 days a week, but are still considered part time, with no benefits.
