Pros
Working with kids and helping them with college is emotionally fulfilling. You get to use and improve on a wide variety of skills like sales, organization, and staff management. Centers open at 1pm on weekdays so you can sleep in or run errands in the am. You'll learn a lot about today's academic atmosphere.
Cons
Base salary for center directors is too low. The higher ups are too concerned with rapid expansion, leaves them unable to give necessary support to the centers. Working Saturdays at 9 am is not easy. Getting home at 10 pm on weeknights is even more taxing. Working with parents is usually nightmare, they are difficult. Directors are encouraged to be dishonest if it can accomplish the client's enrollment. Sometimes the kids just don't learn. Sometimes it is difficult to find decent tutors. Just too many things that can and will go wrong.
