Great Place for Part-Time Employment

Pros

Great work environment. Management is hands-off and lets good teachers do their jobs. Management handles all communications with parents and always sides with teachers over unreasonable demands of parents. Kids were well-behaved and eager to learn. Colleagues are amazing: fun, friendly, intelligent people who care about kids, teaching, and each other. No stress.

Cons

Salary is very low compared to other tutoring companies. Few to no benefits. Hours can be erratic and teachers are not paid when students cancel. Great place for people looking to pick up extra cash on evenings or weekends. Not a good option for people who are relying on company as primary source of income.

I am so proud of our teachers who have a passion for learning, and the vision that every student is different but can break past their limits with proper guidance and support. We consistently review and make adjustments to our pay structures to support a culture of accountability and performance at all levels of the organization. Center Directors strive to provide consistent teaching hours - however, teaching hours are based on the needs of our students. The more subjects a teacher is willing and able to teach the more hours he or she will like be scheduled for each week. In the event of last minute cancellations, please know that we have a policy to ensure that our teachers are fairly compensated.

-Fairly rigid with approach (homogenized regimen for all students, despite varying needs) -Hours are not that friendly for teachers (find out about hours the night before)
