Pros

Easy work (just that there is so much of) Fun kids (just that the management only gets involved when their complaints get escalated) Flexible hours (just that you would do a lot of overtime at times)

Cons

It just gets more and more dissappointing working here. The work itself is easy. However it becomes a lot of busy work which becomes stressful work when it becomes escalated. The management ignores daily tasks you do and just ask tou to meet the sales goal. They ask you to attend all these meetings where they try to hypnotise you into a sales driven machine. But after each meeting you realise that you are not supported at all but with empty words and now you are an hour behind because you were at the meeting and not working. We have a lot of these meetings. Every month we are told to meet sales goal. We are encouraged to meet parents every month so we can ask them to send in their kids more often (more money) to remind them they have exhausted their hours (so we can renew) their contracts and to ask them for referrals. We cant take days off or leave early at the end of the month unless the whole district (thats right not just your center but the whole district) meets budget. And when you do meet the budget they ask you to do more sales since we didnt meet it previous month. And they say they will buy me lunch if i do. Out of all the salespeople you can get, C2 gets the worst ones. Those are the ones who put up with C2 because they cannot get a better job elsewhere. They dont understand how to develope products and only know how to offer more discounts so they can sell. And desperate situations lead to more desperate situations. Teachers and center directors leave all the time. Its not just because they are fed up but because of so many vacancies C2 hires people who are not qualified for their job. Go to any district or regional meeting and you see a new face everytime. In 6 month more than half the people have left. Every week you get an email from the corporate saying so n so is gone or so n so steps into a new position. And.. they only make abnouncement for dms and above. Can you imagine how many center directors, assistants and teachers leave? Many centers around here including mine are new. However this center too had 6 center directors in last 3 years. The center next door had 8. It is so confusing who does what and it is more confusing with our curriculum or sops. Since everyone leaves so quickly, no one finishes the work. For instance the company asked which center would like to get rubber stamps for endorsement on back of the checks they receive. It took them 4 or 5 months to send those out. I asked for a minor repair (few light bulbs got burnt out)at the center and i havent even got a response yet. Its been about 3 weeks. One of our teachers was supposed to get a raise since december. Its march now and it still hasnt been done. Etc. Etc. Etc. The management is quick and will be all over you if you didnt make the budget or you sold a 50 hour package instead of a 100 or 2. But with non sales request they will not get back to you quickly. After months of these series of events, you will realise that the survivors are bunch of a-holes, bull dog type. Otherwise you wont survive. If you have integrity you dont want to stay here.

Pros

The actual educators I worked with were professional, courteous, and had a real concern for their craft.

Cons

C2 has recently begun pushing STEM; if you don't teach a related course, even if you're already established at the company, you will very likely see your hours reduced and reduced and reduced. And then, C2 will tell you its your fault and you need to teach more subjects. But, if you do teach STEM, you will make less than half working for C2 than you would have tutoring independently, and you will have to cover three students at a time. It doesn't take a math major to know where all the money is going when you have three kids in front of you but you're only making 20/hr. I've also noticed that C2 is dispatching hacks to boost its reviews. This is clearly not one of those.

Pros

-What pros? I would give this company less than 1 star if I could

Cons

-Be prepared to work with some of the worse managers. Management is unprofessional and lack any real business sense. HR is useless. If you report any poor business practices to upper management, you will get reprimanded. -You don't have any time for a life. You are expected to work 1 pm to 9:30 pm (but really 10 pm because parents don't pick up their kids on time) on weekdays and work weekends too. God forbid you ever need a sick day because management will act like it's a huge inconvenience that you need time off. Salaries are low and there "6 month raise review" is a joke. -This is an extremely sales heavy company. Once parents pay tuition, management no longer cares for them. -The 3 student to 1 teacher ratio is ridiculous especially considering how much these families pay for tutoring. A teacher is expected to teach 3 students at the same time. These students aren't in the same grade and they're not even studying the same subjects. I wouldn't recommend anybody send their kids here.
