Pros

Super laid back, no micromanagement, no dress code, take breaks on your own time

Cons

The hourly wage is low for this type of position. They offer an "incentive" bonus of up too 300 per week. However, you have no real control over whether you get the bonus or not. It all depends on the sales person your transfer to to close the sale. Only then do you get anything.

Thank you for your review! As a current employee your feedback is extremely important to us. It is the leadership team’s goal to ensure our employees enjoy coming to work and are happy at CARCHEX. The Call Transfer Agent position that you are reviewing is an entry level position. The compensation for entry level positions is typically lower than other positions within the company. The weekly incentive program was put into place to actively reward our top performing Agents. The program itself can add up to 50% more per hour in your compensation. The more calls that are made and transferred to the Sales Team for closing substantially increases the chances of receiving incentive. Rankings for incentive are based off the number of calls you transfer that result in a closed deal AND your transfer percentage. The incentive program has shown great success across the Call Transfer floor, not only rewarding hard work but also by promoting healthy competition among the Agents. In addition, we love to promote from within. For example, many Sales Representatives began their career with CARCHEX as a Call Transfer Agent before they were moved to sales where the earnings potential is unlimited! We appreciate your advice to management proposing a wage increase across the department. We continuously review and analyze our pay policies to ensure they are competitive and reflective of the job duties, experience and longevity with the company. While we are grateful for your candid review, we encourage you to take any issues or concerns you have in the future to your direct manager or the CARCHEX HR Team for more immediate resolution. It is our goal to set each team member up for utmost success in their position. We do this not only through initial new hire training, but also continued training sessions and one-on-one coaching sessions with your direct managers. If you feel there are areas within your position as a Customer Service Specialist that you would like more training, we encourage you to contact your direct manager for support. They will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have and provide hands-on training as fit. As you stated, the managers at CARCHEX show interest and want you to succeed! The compensation structure for each position within CARCHEX has been carefully reviewed and set based off the position duties and experience level of the Team Member. We strive to not only offer competitive compensation across all positions but also to provide all Team Members the opportunity to achieve their personal financial goals. We continuously review the compensation structure for all positions to be certain we are offering the best opportunities for everyone on the team. Micromanagement A lot of monitoring Feels like it’s unfair pay for the amount of stress involved. It’s a numbers game here get X amount of calls try to sell at least this many with the same script and same rebuttals felt more like a one size fits all approach

It is not our intention to micromanage, however at CARCHEX we pride ourselves in coaching our team when we see room for growth and/or improvement. Consistent coaching and training enables our Vehicle Protection Specialists to be as successful as possible in their role (and as a result maximize their earnings). CARCHEX has been successfully selling vehicle protection plans for over 20 years by focusing on customer experience. While we do have call guides and offer formal training and a CARCHEX University training booklet for support and assistance to maintain consistency, we encourage each Vehicle Protection Specialist to tailor the guidance to their own personal selling style. At CARCHEX we truly believe that each member of our team has endless talent and potential. In hand with the ongoing support from our management team and the plethora of available learning material we believe we set each Vehicle Protection Specialist up for ultimate success.
