Pros

I have worked for CBRE for 6 years. One of the good things I noticed about CBRE is its strive to become competitive in the Technology arena. I have met the CEO in person. His personality was motivating and uplifting.

Cons

One of the downsides to working for CBRE from my personal experience is as a Black woman I have had challenges when applying for Management positions. Me like some other Black women in the company - I can only speak for Digital and Technology Department quite often find ourselves having to file complaints through HR to be treated fairly. Although CBRE considers themselves to be a Diverse company, it seems to not be evenly dispersed when it comes to Blacks vs other minority races. Promotions are usually based on the buddy system.

Pros

CBRE bought the company so maybe they will get out of their own way now and actually improve customer service.

Cons

Software company that tries to also provide the maintenance their software was designed to track. Only thing is they fail to understand what a customer wants is more important than their agenda. They don’t want feedback from employees that contradicts their flawed business plan. They will say they are growing but all I witnessed was losing business. Sure they will sign new accounts but believe me when I say it’s only a matter of time before they lose those as well.

Pros

Career advancement up to a degree but minimal pay increases with each move. Lots of support for training if you take initiative to go outside your organization and find classes. Great work/life balance (at least in my office)

Cons

Lots of talk about how much this global company is expanding, increasing market share and buying out other companies but you'll see none of this expansion in your paychecks.
