Pros

Onsite gym, lunch and snacks provided, decent pay and good benefits.

Cons

Reading through these reviews in chronological order actually paints a pretty accurate portrayal of what’s happening at this company. A few years ago this was a decent place to work. However, the culture, much like the owner’s mental state, is deteriorating rapidly and because he inserts himself into every single aspect, everything is at the mercy of his whims. Unfortunately, the owner's vision and the luck that started this company cannot grow it or even sustain at this point as the lack of strategy, nonexistent leadership and inconsistency is taking it’s toll on the employees and the business itself. If you take a position here, just hope they let you go while there’s still cash to pay a settlement.

Pros

Nice office, food, gym, massage chair. Mostly cool coworkers.

Cons

The company Tenets are posted everywhere and sound really nice but are apparently just for show and in truth they risk employees jobs. For example, one of them is: Be Honest, Direct & Real. However, actually doing this will get you fired. Why preach this if you don’t mean it? The owner is a sadistic sociopath. He fires people when he’s bored, just to prove that he’s got all the power, even if it’s to the company’s detriment. The whole company seems like a vehicle to help him feel like a big man. The way he treats employees and conducts himself proves that he doesn’t actually care about the company. Which is a real shame, this is a really cool company that could flourish if competent senior management were in place. Working hard and helping the company succeed gets you nowhere at CBT Nuggets. The only way to succeed here is by being a favorite. And even that is not a guarantee, you can fall out favor for no reason. I honestly regret coming here. If you are a hard worker who wants to contribute and feel appreciated, this is not the place for you. Unless you are willing to kiss up constantly and risk not having a job in 6 months, do your soul and career a huge favor by passing on this company.
