Truly Awful Organization

Pros

The actual on-the-job human services aspect is the only positive attribute to which this organization can cling.

Cons

Every process is exceedingly tedious and all facets are strictly invested in doing things CCRES' way. While, certainly, details are critical in paperwork, data collection, etc., the human resources staff are ill-equipped to manage their end of things and are occasionally downright rude. Case managers are rarely available, veritable ghosts in the schools. For the low pay and vacant benefits, it's far more worthwhile to work directly for a district. At the risk of being negative for negativity's sake, I cannot muster enough scathing words to represent how disgusted I am with this organization.

Pros

You have a rewarding opportunity to make a difference each day in the support you provide to your clients. CCRES is a non profit so you don't feel incredibly stressed in bringing in gross profit dollars and the work you do (no matter what position title) feels rewarding knowing that you are helping children with special needs (directly and indirectly) and that grants are awarded to other non profit programs in the local community that support children with special needs. Great support overall and very nice/resourceful HR staff and knowledgable/established clinical team of case managers at the CCIU. I've met a nice variety of caring people in the school/community setting and love what I do.

Cons

No healthcare benefits. Tuition reimbursement ?
