Pros

good size projects that were challenging, sink or swim mentality made you learn fast. a good many colleagues i stay in touch with.

Cons

toxic work environment, very nasty management. almost to a person. everyone is out for themselves. they lie about budgets and schedules then throw everyone under the bus at the end. You spend more time explaining what you did than actually working. Last few years there was the worst experience of my professional life.

Pros

Benefits are amazing though expensive. Peers can be a pleasure to work with but backstabbing is prevalent. Trust no one.

Cons

Leadership claims open door and willingness to communicate but nothing could be farther from the truth. Any communication is watered down and first communicated through officers who aren't chosen for the most sensible reasons or logical reasons. There is no open door. Question anything to learn the logic behind a decision and you will be labeled a troublemaker. I watched an old movie the other night, The Stepford Wives and as silly as it sounds, the essence reminded me of CDM. No wonder the innovation they claim is in theory only. I am so glad I found a firm that embraces innovation, practices integrity wit PMs who value teamwork.

Frustating

Pros

Great health insurance and PTO benefits. Most of the people you'll work with day to day are nice, down-to-earth and talented.

Cons

Rigid corporate structure drives young talent away. Organization is very top-heavy and promotions and raises are based on longevity with the company rather than actual contribution. Upper management is downright delusional about the overall morale of the average worker and it shows in the high turn-over rate. Senior people have a feeling that "no where else is better, so we don't need to fix anything."
