      Pros

      There are many talented and dedicated expert individuals in this organization. I learned much and appreciate the time spent there.

      Cons

      The economic downturn of 2008 finally caught up with CDM Smith as the backlog of projects decreased. A tremendous amount of focus is on personal utilization and projected billable hours, so staff who may be meeting or close to their utilization goals but have a decreasing projected long-term workload are susceptible to facing initial reduction in hours or being laid-off.

      The pay rate was excellent.

      Cons

      Micromanaging and nitpicking, finding a flaw no matter what was done. It was a very toxic environment.
