Pros

Learn the intangibles of relationship based sales. Great people, great atmosphere, plenty of challenges on a daily basis! Not for the faint of heart or unmotivated.

Cons

Low base pay, would not be able to make ends meet if I lived in the city. Looking at it as a light at the end of the tunnel scenario that the knowledge and experience will pay handsomely well before the commissions start rolling in.

Pros

The opportunity to work with some of the most talented technical Cisco and Microsoft engineers in the country. It is a tight-knit group committed to sharing knowledge and experience with their peer group. We have very well developed repeatable processes which are critical for ensuring consistency across the different regions that have CDW Berbee professional services offices. The strategy is to move to a national model for professional services, which opens up other opportunities for relocation and working in larger cities, if that is what you prefer. I have also had the opportunity to work with Microsoft to help shape new products before they are rolled out to the larger market.

Cons

hard to maintain work-life balance - there is always something happening and its hard not to get pulled in.

Pros

There are a lot of perks at CDW, especially if you are in sales. You have the ability to make as much money as you are willing to put the work towards. Also, the vendors praise Account managers because they sell their stuff and will give you free stuff, gift certificates, take you out to dinner and lunch, etc. CDW also looks out for what is best for it's employees, most people would disagree with that, but it is definitely true. It is corporate America so nothing is perfect...

Cons

The benefits aren't the greatest, not bad but could be better. Also, they hire a lot of kids out of the college for not too much money. It can take 2 or 3 years to start making good money, but you can get a base paying job for more then the base at CDW.
