Pros

During the time I worked for EAGLE it was a well respected place of business, however there had been some changes that had taken place after the CEVA/EAGLE take over. However while the company was under Jim Crane's ownership, I believe employee's were treated with respect, and raises and opportunity were available.

Cons

Moreover when the final stages of the CEVA takeover came into play changes began to take effect and not in a good way. People were being laid off and or leaving the company and eventually the Ontario Domestic Department was completely shut down and all of the accounts were transferred to the LAX facility. There were more than 50 people at that facility that were left without jobs and the cold and hurtful part about that whole tragic ordeal was that management did not offer any of those people jobs at the LAX facility. Some of these employees had been with the company for 10 years or more, and we are talking about Station Managers, Operations Managers, and Supervisors all of these people were treated as if they did not exist on that horrible day in Feb. 2009. While understanding why that horrible decision was made at that time to close down the Ont facility (even though it was making good profit), but at the same time thinking how horrible it made some feel to know on that particular day we were treated like trash. Upper management did not come to the rescue for those who had been with the company for a long period and some of those employees had surpassed any expectations that the company had. Some went PAST their call of duty and yet were treated so unfairly.

Pros

The pay isn't bad, you learn alot about logistics and alot about office politics and why you wouldn't want to work somewhere like this

Cons

Management picks favorites and doesn't treat others fairly, seniority doesn't mean anything to them (you can work here 11years and still be a level one clerk?) seriously

Pros

Their medical insurance is decent.

Cons

Pay is horrible. Corporate tries to squeeze every last buck they can, which usually comes out of the EE's pockets. Recognition is sparse. The department I worked in was treated like it was a whole separate company that just happened to occupy space in the same building. They people there were horrible to work with. Everyone was constantly gossiping about everyone and everything and spreading lies and would take any chance they could get to get you in trouble. Once you get into a position you are stuck there. They won't let you move. They always hire managers from outside the company. Especially if they came from the same company that Senior management at corporate came from. It is rare that they will even do a direct hire. Pretty much everyone that worked there started out as a temp for 6-8 months before being hired on. The pay was awful. The biggest problem - being tormented and talked about behind my back EVERY SINGLE DAY no matter how much I tried to avoid it or how much I tried work beyond the hardest that I could. The place is a nightmare. I would probably be more willing to end up in a homeless shelter than work there.
