Pros

Decent pay and benefits, but little else

Cons

Horrible management! In general upper and middle management is unqualified, under-educated, and biased. They do not manage, rather they "rule" treating everyone at the clinic level without any respect or dignity. The administration shows a lack of compassion for its employees, and make decisions that are not in the best interest of the patients, although they like to advertise that they do. Current culture at CHAS is all about the number of patients the providers see rather than the quality of care received. Administration and management could care less how many employees or patients get lost in their greed.

Pros

Great pay, awesome benefits including PTO, most employees genuinely cared about the mission and helping others.

Cons

Lack of consistency for disciplinary actions. Administration is out of touch with what actually happens at each of the clinics. There used to be a great possibility for advancement at CHAS but now it's more about who you know on the hiring team and if you've brown nosed enough to them.

Pros

The pto and pay is fantastic, one of the only things that keeps the medical assistants at CHAS. My co-workers are amazing people that also keep me around. Benefits are good but they used to be better.

Cons

I used to recommend CHAS to all of my CMA friends, I do not anymore. The workload for CMA's is absolutely ridiculous. It only seems to pile on every month. I have seen several of my amazing co-workers have panic attacks and cry during work hours because we are so overloaded. We are also severely understaffed. Some managers can be outright cruel, but I'm afraid to say anything because I would like to keep my job. When I first started it really felt like we cared about our patients, now it feels so much more about the money. There is also no consistency through out the company. Some clinics are forced to work Saturdays and some are not.
