Pros

Good pay and benefits; they stay fairly strong in tough economic times since most of their customers provide groceries and other consumer essentials.

Cons

Because the parent company in Australia is traded publicly, they sometimes make reactive organizational changes to meet shareholder expectations, with little thought to long-term impact. Also, the culture lacks a "gel" - teams often work in silos, could benefit from more "family" mentality across the organization, which starts with hiring employees to buy into that.

Pros

CHEP changes so rapidly that there are always opportunities to move up and around if you are flexible and intelligent. You also have the opportunity to work with some of the best companies in America as customers.

Cons

There are a lot of politics and if you are not on the fast track, you will get stuck in a position. Also, please refer to "Pro" above about change. The company is constantly reorganizing, long before it can get into a good operating rhythm.
