Pros

Some companies claim “family-friendly” or “work-life balance” employer. CHRISTUS Health is the first in my work life that truly implements this value and a thread in our culture (family first). As a full-time permanent employee and mother of two, sometimes I need to leave the office at a drop of a hat to take care of my children. Whether my son is sick or my daughter has an ortho appointment. I feel very blessed and thankful that I have the flexibility to take care of my family without negative ramifications. Thank you CHRISTUS Health, you truly walk the walk as the “family-friendly” and “work-life balance” company!! The vision, mission and values are definitely recognized in this organization.

Cons

Onboarding could use some help in Kronos training. From new hire orientation, I thought I was supposed to use my social security number to enter my time. No. My coworker, showed me to login to Kronos from my PC to find my ID number. Then, she showed me at the Kronos kiosk(s) how to enter my ID, to enter my time. Overall, everyone in this organization have been very helpful. Thank you for allowing employees to give feedback without consequences.

Pros

Family type atmosphere. Flexible schedule

Cons

No room for advancement. Feel like I can't approach the right team members or management. Employees are overworked from being short staffed. Employees that don't do work or don't come to work don't face consequences.

Great place to work

Pros

I have worked at CHRISTUS Health for over 10 years, and it is a great place to work. I regularly get to interact with senior executives, and I can tell that they really care about our Associates. They invest in fun activities for us, and there are reflection rooms on every floor and a chapel on the first floor where they host a chapel service that is open to all faiths once a week. My coworkers are amazing people.

Cons

Sometimes there can be confusion over who "owns" what or who is in charge of what. This can sometimes affect regions vs. corporate. But I think people really are motivated by the corporation's mission at the end of the day.
