Our clients expect a lot from us and we always aim to deliver. Thank you for your efforts to help meet and exceed deadlines. It's a team effort! Also, I hope you had a chance to participate in the official employee survey CLEAResult did a few months back. We're making improvements based on that employee feedback as I type this now!

Pros

As an assessor, you are always aware of exactly how you're performing. Lots of metrics to gauge your own performance. Next to experience, time management skills are the most important requirement for this job. Being able to effectively manage your time will directly impact how well you do at this job. In this role you have the ability to really "Own" you work. Clearly defined deadlines for work, and goals for performance. There are a lot of Alpah's here who demand passion for the work. Certain personality types may be predisposed to succeed here. The workplace environment is the best I've ever had when I'm meeting goals. Passion for the work from management fosters an almost electric atmosphere day to day. Be confident in your work, and be able to justify your conclusions. Doing something because it's the way you've been told to do it is not a good reason to continue doing it. Lots of opportunity to travel, you are not tied down to an office at all in this role. Lots of customer interaction. Lots of opportunity to exceed expectations and move up within the company. With the company growing so rapidly, there is some insane upward mobility. There is no guidebook. Baptism by fire training. These things will seem overwhelming at first, but will empower you to become truly great at your job. I read alot of reviews on here about terrible management, and I have to say my experience is the exact opposite. The Des Moines, Iowa team is full of top notch, multi-talented, all-star employees. These people believe in the mission of helping companies become greener while saving them some green. Insanely motivated, intense, professional, warm/welcoming team players who will give you the tools to succeed.

Cons

#1 con; as an employee in the field, you are expected to pay for everything out of pocket, and wait 1.5+ months to be reimbursed. You will regularly be expected to stay in a hotel, and pay out of pocket . Simply put, this needs to change. In the future I could see the company shifting to the use of expense cards... this company has developed an adapt or die approach to continuous improvement, so hopefully they will fix this one issue. Since CLEAResult is actively winning new contracts around the country, and setting up shop in areas where they didn't exist before, HUGE aspects of the program, and the process are very new, and are constantly being re-engineered. This can be annoying, but if you've got the entrepreneurial spirit, you have an AMAZING opportunity to build the company up from the ground floor. Management does an incredible job of listening to opinions, and incorporating suggestions into future versions of the process and procedure. If you're an idea person, who's looking to constantly optimize and improve processes this is the job for you. A lot of tools and applications used during the process of assessing are in "infant" stages; with the brilliant people at this company, these problems won't last for long. Not a huge con, but management will let you know ASAP if you're doing something wrong or under-performing, and hold you personally responsible for getting behind for reasons beyond your control. Although this can be nerve-wracking, management does an incredible job of motivating from a place of positivity, and clearly communicating objectives; when one person falls down, the entire team works to pull them back up.
