Good benefits, smart and driven people, company has longstanding reputation in the industry (was a leader in electronic trading in the 90s).

Cons

Very Chicago HQ centric, not global as marketing would lead you to believe. Senior management could use a dose of outsider perspective...most senior leaders have been at CME for 10+ years. Viewed as a "financial services" firm, but really a tech company. Behind the curve on investing in technology and strong tech/infosec talent. Burn out of talented staff is high. Policy against full-time remote work will really limit their ability to retain and recruit talent.

DO NOT APPLY HERE IF YOU WANT TO BUILD YOUR CAREER. I was an intern and was hired out of college. Virtually no support or training was given. I was begging to be trained and they were so resistant. Only apply to CME if you are in the industry and know people in the company. They know what they are doing, but will give you no grace. I am mainly speaking to young professionals, this is not the place to learn. They do not care about you and will show you no effort. If you are starting in your career do not apply. CME Group is exclusively for developed professionals. They will make no effort in making you one. If you don't care about yourself at all, this is the place for you. No hard feelings to the people, everyone was polite. But there are serious issues with how things are organized. My advice is to simply hire more people.

Internal tech/systems are grossly outdated; upper management mindset even more so (hooray for the pending return to office mandate and the wasted hours and office politics that come with it).
