Thanks for sharing your feedback. We’re glad you appreciated our market competitive total rewards program during your time with us. With respect to your comments on career advancement, we believe that the numbers speak for themselves. Over the last 12 months, 14% of our employees were promoted, exceeding the industry average. CME Group has a strong focus on work/life balance, offering flexible work arrangements and a working remotely policy for more than 10 years. Thanks for sharing your feedback. Offering a comprehensive compensation and benefits package is a key way we recognize our employees for the contributions they make to our business, so we’re glad to hear you enjoy those benefits. Part of that benefits package is a generous Paid Time Off (PTO) program that has been benchmarked to ensure it is market competitive and enables our employees to make the most of their time away from work. We’re sorry to hear that PTO program isn’t working for you. We’re also sorry to see you feel there is no growth here. We are very focused on helping our employees grow in their careers. We’ve been proud of the numbers we’re seeing in our annual promotion and internal mobility. Last year, 14% of employees were promoted and 30% of open positions were filled internally, putting us at or above the industry average on both counts.

Pros

I started as an intern in Technology. The tech internship program was the best part of the summer; Lots of opportunities to grow and learn but also social events. The technology team gives you every chance to explore the company and make an impact. The people are CME really care about one another, there’s no cut throat culture like at start-ups. It’s also a stable place to work; Too big too fail. 23 PTO days when you start, and 9 holidays—which is almost unheard of!

Cons

Lots of layers in management, pretty standard for a “large” company though. As long as you have a good manager supporting you, you have nothing to worry about.
