Pros

Large company with significant funding available to implement projects that can change how the company operates. Company size provides job stability.

Cons

Very hard to get anything accomplished, impossible to be a change agent and drive change. This company is overstaffed and it therefore takes an army to make a decision. I have never worked at a company that put so much effort into barely making any progress. They are confused between whether they want to be an investment company or an insurance company that serves their clients.

Pros

401k match, bonus program and 401k deposits. Great pay but pricy benefits.

Cons

This company needs to update their technology badly. Claims is always fast paced and hard to keep up. Having outdated technology with systems going down frequently made it unbearable. Hard to keep control of things due to so many hands being in the pot, creating additional, often unnecessary work and confusion. Feelings of not having the ability to control what you should easily be able to control due to the tools you're given.

Pros

Benefits were decent but kept getting reduced

Cons

If you are willing to give more than required, the workload will be increased and then the young bucks above you will find a way to get rid of you, supposedly with cause so that they don't have to pay severance. This is even or especially for employees of long tenure. SR management are not human. They are inexperienced young , primarily men, with huge egos and the desire to punish those who work the hardest, especially if the employee is older and an employee with long tenure. Those people get stabbed in the back by their young managers/ directors .
