Pros

Rotational program for people right out of college. Encourage movement within the company.

Cons

Management is under the impression that people can be easily replaced instead of valuing the people they have. Want to do more with less - it's getting to the point where we are working more hours because the workload keeps increasing but getting no added benefits or compensation.

Pros

Company with great name recognition that is one of the "big boys" of insurance carriers. They can put up large property limits and cover specialty risks that many carriers avoid. They have a favorable reputation for claims handling.

Cons

The data systems are not as user friendly as many smaller carriers. It is difficult for non-management types to extract important data needed to track your results. The company changes direction frequently which causes a lot of movement of people. This leads to much uncertainty among the staff.

Pros

Nice cafeteria downstairs, lake view

Cons

High turn over rate and there is a reason. Higher ups just keep hiring incompetent management based on their own personal preferences and made this place a mess. You'd be surprised how many freaks in the management at this company.
