Pros

Weekly pay is the only pro

Cons

Literally everything else. Management, the pay, waking up at 7am to drive to work to get verbally assaulted by people you don’t know for less than $14 an hour, they still point you for doctors notes, they don’t properly train operators, they bribe their employees for good reviews, they stopped giving out bonuses, they don’t allow mental health days, you only get benefits if you’re full time and they don’t explain to you what benefits you have, if you’re out of the room for more than 5 minutes they’ll send somebody to come get you, they are not honest people, and much more

Pros

COPS is a very stable, growing company that has been around for 44 years. Great benefits, excellent incentives, flexible scheduling, and infinite opportunities. This isn't just a job; it's a career if you choose to make it one. I started with COPS as a young twenty-something who wanted to find a place I belonged and could grow. I heard about the job from a friend who brought me one of the extravagant holiday parties before I formally applied. I was instantly sold. I could tell this company was different and was blown away by all the wonderful things they did for their employees. The early days of my career were spent on the frontlines handling emergency alarm calls. I truly felt like I had the chance to make a difference each and every day I came in. I gained so much knowledge, experience, and confidence before being given my next opportunity. Over the past 9 years, I have been lucky enough to hold many titles, including alarm dispatcher, shift lead, shift supervisor, assistant site manager, and then operations manager of two different site locations. I have had the privilege of working with and learning from many of the industry's top leaders. Before working at COPS, I had never heard of a company where the top executives—vice presidents, executive vice presidents, presidents, and even CEO—actively engage with and spend time with all their employees, regardless of tenure. This sense of community is instilled in everyone from the top down. As I said in the first sentence of this review, the job is what you make it. If you are somebody who likes to make a difference, is reliable, and wants to learn and grow, you will go far here. Our management team, all the way up to the executives, started in entry-level positions with the company and chose to make it a career. The possibilities are endless.

Cons

I have not experienced any cons.
