Pros

Talented and smart people trying to improve patient care for cancer patients Recommend is you're a White Male who does minimal work- you'll likely be promoted within 6 months

Cons

Favoritism Lack of recognition for those that put in the work and get results to clients Frequent promotions of unskilled and under-qualified individuals Not an innovative company as promoted-Frequently takes shortcuts and workarounds to produce mediocre work to clients to earn a dollar as opposed to improving process flows and focusing on the INNOVATION this company claims to exhibit Horrible upper management. Not supportive of staff, shows very little respect for those they manage "Everyone for themselves" attitude No transparency. Terrible sense of morale throughout the entire company Women are shown little respect, have seen multiple being mansplained Absolute lack of diversity.

Pros

A few very nice, well intentioned people.

Cons

This company sells concepts and pretends it has products. It has nothing and that which it has should be highly questioned. Bro culture abounds. If you work here, don't speak up. Never challenge authority. Be careful who you trust.

Pros

Half of work force is very bright, motivated by patient/client impact, and a joy to work with (sadly this half is shrinking) Smart, experienced CEO & CTO that are empathetic to staff concerns Good work life balance

Cons

Recent hires and promotions in the last 6 months are leading to a drastic culture shift away from a scrappy startup towards a bureaucratic organization where some influence-seeking managers fight for undeserved headcount while other core technical & clinical roles go unfilled for months Competent managers on the technical teams are much less skilled at corporate politics and "managing up" compared to their counterparts on the sales/product side. This leads to executives overweighting input from less knowledgeable sources and mis-diagnosing the root cause of the some of the firms struggles and hiring & promoting the wrong functions/roles. Productivity does not seem to be tied to pay-increases or promotions. You can be an early-employee with a track record of successfully managing & delivering dozens of projects and well-liked by the 90% of the company yet end up with another layer of management hired on top of your vertical instead of being promoted into the role yourself. Unless your manager is skilled at corporate politics (eg. on the business/sales side), you likely won't have meaningful career growth in terms of titles/promotions. You can however still learn from world-class doctors, engineers, and scientists & grow your skills to prepare for the next role outside of the firm. The top performers who've already left here have all landed somewhere really nice. There is also a tiny bit of a "good old boys" culture (people currently in power hire and promote other people similar to them in demeanor & background), which is fine for the 1980s but probably not in 2017.
