Pros

Company has lots of great products to be able to help all types of people.

Cons

-Executive leadership does not do a good job at explaining why things are happening within the organization. Told many times that if we don't like the change to leave the company. -There are many negative changes happening within the organization that are impacting clients as well as advisors and agents in the field and the organization has their agenda to grow profits but doesn't seem to be open to hearing from those that are impacted.

Poor Compensation for Technical Work

Pros

Friendly coworkers, job security, strong financial company, healthy work life balance is promoted by the company.

Cons

HR will not allow managers to compensate employees what they deserve for their work. Middle level management cares about employees and wants them compensated well, but HR blocks promotions and raises despite manager recommendations for pay increases. I foresee a growing retention problem and likely issues backfilling vacant positions due to lack of competitive pay. There have been vacant jobs for many months they can't fill due to too low of a pay range for technical work. The company as a whole does not seem to value IT/data, at least with their budget. All of these issues happening as the company is announcing one of their strongest financial years.

Revolving Door

Pros

Tremendous training program, nice offices, and decent base pay. The new agent program looks good on paper, but in reality, its a revolving door. They understand its a numbers game. If you ca fog a mirror and get a license you are hired. No micro management.

Cons

COUNTRY Financial outside of Bloomington, IL. You bet EVERYBODY has heard of State farm, which is headquartered directly across the street from COUNTRY. Rate are extremely high. Extremely conservative in underwriting. Very limited offerings.

Thank you for taking the time to provide valuable feedback. We are glad you reaped the benefits of our training program and employee agent structure. It is an exciting opportunity, but we do recognize it’s something that takes a lot of hard work and dedication! We make ongoing adjustments to our selection processes as needed in each market we serve.
