When these reviews talk about money or the challenge of working on the railroad. Fake fake fake. I can spot it from a mile away being a former employee. There are no pros working for the railroad honestly. 95% of the people are miserable. Then there is about 5% that Either deal with it or actually like railroading

Cons

Too many to list. It is a miserable way to live your life. You will not see your kids. Have a family life and your wife will consider a divorce. It’s just a matter of time. The railroad and managers are ruthless. You pay for CAN insurance. It is a monthly premium insurance for when you get fired and cannot work. Everybody has it if that tells you anything.
