Pros

Members come first. We really are a company that tries to do the best by the members. We work hard to get member and employee feedback and implement needed changes. Changes that are going to affect employees are told far in advance so employees can prepare themselves even if telling the employees means a possible decline in work performance. They have also been very helpful in providing transitional assistance to those whose jobs have been eliminated. I don't see many companies provide that level of support for employees. My bosses are very good at working with your schedule. They expect an honest day's work for an honest day's pay and will work with you to do that when situations occur that require you to have unusual hours.

Cons

Some people have been working here for a really long time and are set in their ways. It is hard to over come initial rejection of changes

Pros

The only good thing I enjoyed while working at this company was my co-workers and a few managers.

Cons

Big lack of promoting inside employees and on going training. Every two years there is a company redesign and you need to reapply for a job you have been doing for 15 yrs. People who are promoted to managers are clueless and no help on promoting their employees. CSAA comes up with stupid projects for 6 months to 1 yr to improve customer service. And their un-bright services plans do nothing but make things worse. CSAA needs a big change in upper management. RUN away don't waste your life working for a company that does not value you or the hard work you do.

Pros

Benefits were great but are slowly being taken away. Great front line customer service staff.

Cons

No clear vision for customer service needs. The drive for profit margins over customer care continues to drive CSAA in the wrong direction. The need is being driven by the fact that CSAA and its partner holding company ACA need more clubs to join so that the expense of our recent It and Call centers can be spread across these other clubs. They are trying to leverage buying power like Wallmart also and this will only weaken them as a whole. Our club was great because we were able to focus on our customer without being high profit driven. When we grew in size we lost this edge and other were able to exploit our weakness and move in.
