Pros

Strong member focus, high integrity, strong employee community. AAA is a great brand with a strong tradition of providing peace of mind to members. A great place for people oriented people who want to make a difference for customers on something important.

Cons

Difficulty adapting to a changing world, ineffective leadership team. In transition from a top-down, hierarchical company to a more customer and employee focused company, but lacking some of the basic tool kit to make the transition quickly.

Pros

AAA NCN&U (formerly CSAA) has one of the best benefits packages of most companies in the region.

Cons

While AAA NCN&U (formerly CSAA) has one of the best benefits packages of most companies in the region, it does not balance with the way the rest of the organization is managed. There is no balance. Call me old fashioned but I was raised to believe that as long as you came to work everyday and gave 100% (often more than that) you would be a valuable asset to a company. Now it seems as though you don't have to know anything, you just have to know the right person. All from the college required course "management 101". You don't need to know how to do your employees job, you just need to know how to tell them how to do it. Hmmm.... last time I checked I don't think someone can teach me how to cook a great meal unless they either are able to write the recipe or demonstrate it. Isn't that called coaching and mentoring? A.k.a. teaching.

Pros

Good staff for the most part. The location is good, lower cost of living. Has a lot of potential, if the ship were turned around.

Cons

This is the most dysfunctional company I have ever worked at. The culture brings out the worst in people. It is very difficult to contribute in a company works through politics, nepotism and favoritism. This company doesn't have the intellectual property to rebuild their own infrastructure. They continually chase "big dreams" of golden data centers, when they can't rebuild even a single server. Those that "shut up" and "suck up" are rewarded with big projects and no "on call" duty, while people who step-up are verbally abused.
