Pros

Good work- life balance, people are nice. Good location in San Francisco, California. Lots of opportunities to have an impact. s

Cons

Does not have a good strategy, IT is broken dragging down the company. AAA is a great brand with very loyal members. Technology has been a great disruptor of its business model, losing out in the map business. As cars break down less and there are other options for Emergency Road Services the company is becoming less relevant. However CSAA has the advantage of having a large base of insured (Auto and Home). The main challenge is that the company ia not very good with technology.

Pros

Ability to learn, get different experiences. Ability to flex schedule when needed, though wide variation from division to division.

Cons

Out-of-touch ELT - Jim Pouliot and the board should rethink every one of them. They simply "don't get it" in terms of what the issues are within the ranks of employees and what the root cause with the business. I don't buy that the solution is to focus primarily on "efficiency" - we cannot cut our way to success. We need a senior leadership team who not only have strong business acumen but also have the vision, empathy and courage to create an environment that inspires each employee, that communicates optomisim and belief in employees' abilities to get this company back on track.

Pros

In 2006, it was one of the best companies to work with at that time.

Cons

When CSAA came to Arizona, there were so many people wanting to work with this company and only the best were selected. We all really wanted to be part of the growth at CSAA but it changed. Nepotism is the cause for this company to fail. Employment and economic policies practicing favoritism toward one's family. Giving them favored employment positions to family members. One of the most common arguments against nepotism is that the emotional ties between people who are related may negatively affect their decision making abilities and professional growth. In the past, many businesses sought to avoid even the appearance of nepotism by forbidding relatives from working closely together. The MOST EXPERIENCES people, who were qualified for promotions were over looked.
