Pros

Working from home, nothing more

Cons

Hours, no raises, no bonus. Goal to cut staff by 40% to get employees to self pay for a relocation to one of their new centers. The only benefit is going away. Reorgs every other week. Revolving door. Horrible expensive benefits. 401k match only happens once a year at the end of the year. Forced vacations so you can't go on vacation when you want. You spend most of your time thinking about what to do NOT to get laid off that month. Contracts being signed are for solutions that are not defined. CSC tells customer that we have implemented and we build the solution using the first sucker who buys it. No architects involved in design. No documentation that is accurate which allows people to secure their jobs by not sharing what they do. No teaming or recognition.

Pros

The only good reason to work at CSC is that it is a job and that alone is of value in this economy. Individual groups of people are talented and some great teams, fewer all the time because of employee unfriendly corporate policies.

Cons

Everything CSC has done since it's massive, poorly communicated, badly mismanaged reorganization in 2012 (the one that cut out 40% of managers by overloading the remaining managers - many people still don't know who they work for) has been detrimental to and at the expense of employees. Massive waves of RIFS - some even while people are traveling on business trips with clients, continually decreasing benefits, abhorrent new forced vacation policy, inability to carry vacation over from year to year, forced performance ranking which arbitrarily downgraded most employees below their true performance level, no raises even for high performing employees with very few exceptions, abysmal internal management and unbelievably bad communication and rollout of changes. Back office systems in a shambles. I wonder how we pass audits. We can't hire because headhunters steer people away from CSC. All of this has been planned by senior management to increase operating income and increase share prices. None of it is sustainable. It is a serious mess, folks. Stay away.
