Great hard working coworkers! Laid back work environment. Great medical benefits at a low cost. Did I mention great coworkers!
Cons
Company is unorganized. Customer service is not a priority. Training is promised but never happens. Expected to work 24/7. Over documentation of work status.
Good experience. Software testers worked on data validation from a database on a mainframe, SAS reports, GUI testing, defect work and while going through lots of requirements in a fast paced environment.
Test Leads managed teams of 8-12 testers. They do the hiring and firing of team members and are responsible for customer facing interactions.
Cons
Because it's fast paced not everyone can keep up so contractors got fired often. Often the Test leads weren't good leaders so when they failed their team members failed. Well the team members were fired since they couldn't keep up
Good relevant experience with the technologies used. Long term (in today's meaning of long term) work opportunity.
Cons
They treat the people as if they are expendable. Instead of building on the good talent that comes through the doors most of the technical talent is treated as if they are disposable. It all starts with local leadership in place. This was written for the 2010 and 2011 time period.
